NFL Week 14: Saints Host Niners in Potential NFC Championship Preview

Several games shifted the NFL betting landscape in Week 13. For one, we now have a new Super Bowl favourite in the Baltimore Ravens (+260) after the defending champion New England Patriots fell to the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football

Week 14 is full of games that are too good to pass up if you love to bet on the NFL. One of the most intriguing set of odds on NFL Sunday is the 2.5-point spread for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers game that will feature a battle for top spot in the NFC. We’ll preview this and more NFL betting odds as we walk through the top-10 games for Week 14.

NFL Week 14 Best Odds and Matchups

San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints (Sunday 1 PM ET)

The 49ers (10-2 SU, 7-4-1 ATS) came up short in what was probably the best game of the season in Baltimore last week. Things won’t get any easier when they take on the NFL-leading New Orleans Saints (10-2 SU, 8-4 ATS) on Sunday. While these clubs have identical records, the Saints are winners of three straight and are laying 2.5 points to the 49ers at home. Don’t look past the 44.5-point total, which is certainly within reach for these offensively-gifted clubs.

Dallas Cowboys at Chicago Bears (Thursday, 8:20 PM ET)

The Dallas Cowboys (6-6 SU, 7-5 ATS) will have yet another opportunity to give themselves some breathing room atop the NFC East when they visit the Chicago Bears (6-6 SU, 3-9 ATS) on Thursday night. The Bears are winners of two straight, while the Boys have lost their last two games, so the 3-point spread in favour of Dallas could be ripe for an upset.

Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills (Sunday, 1 PM ET)

Baltimore (10-2 SU, 6-5-1 ATS) showed that they’re the real deal after defeating the 49ers at home last week. They’ll look to extend their winning streak to nine games in frosty Buffalo on Sunday, but will they be able to cover the 6-point spread on the road to the Bills (9-3 SU, 8-3-1 ATS)?

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings (Sunday, 1 PM ET)

The Vikings (8-4 SU, 6-6 ATS) lost a tough game to Seattle in Week 13, and you can bet they’ll be eager to bounce back against the lowly Lions (3-8-1 SU, 5-7 ATS) in the friendly confines of US Bank Stadium. As a result, Minnesota are heavy 13-point favourites.

Washington Redskins at Green Bay Packers (Sunday, 1 PM ET)

The Pack (9-3 SU, 8-4 ATS) will look to make it two in a row when they visit Washington (3-9 SU, 5-7 ATS) on Sunday. Green Bay are resounding 13-point favourites, but the 41.5-point total may be hard to achieve for a Washington offense that scores just 14.4 points per game.

Indianapolis Colts at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday, 1 PM ET)

Indianapolis (6-6 SU, 6-5-1 ATS) remains within striking distance of a playoff position in the AFC, but they’ll need to have a big game against Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers (5-7 SU, 4-8 ATS) to stay in the hunt. The Bucs are 3-point favourites at home, but if the Colts’ 12th-ranked pass D can come up big, Indy may sneak away with the upset.

Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET)

One of the premier matchups on Week 14’s NFL odds board is a repeat of last year’s AFC Championship Game. The Chiefs (8-4 SU, 7-5 ATS) made a huge statement against Oakland last week, while the Pats (10-2, 7-5 ATS) are coming off of a rare loss. Despite that, New England remains the 3-point favourites at home, and the total is a week-high 49.

Tennessee Titans at Oakland Raiders (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET)

The Titans (7-5 SU, ATS) just keep winning with Ryan Tannehill under centre, and they’ll attempt to push their season-best winning streak to four games when they visit the Oakland Raiders (6-6 SU, ATS). This is a big game for clarifying the AFC playoff picture, and the Titans are 3-point road favourites.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET)

The Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5 SU, 6-4-2 ATS) are in a playoff spot despite leaning on their third-string QB Devlin Hodges. While Hodges won’t single-handedly win games for the Steelers, their sixth-ranked D more than makes up for their offensive challenges. Look for Pittsburgh to stick to that formula against the Cards (3-8-1 SU, 7-4-1 ATS), who are 3-point underdogs at home.

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams (Sunday, 8:20 PM ET)

Seattle (10-2 SU, 7-5 ATS) is one of the most dangerous clubs in the NFL right now and they’ll have a chance to make the LA Rams’ (7-5 SU, 8-4 ATS) playoff hopes more difficult if they can steal a win on the road. The ‘Hawks are perfect against divisional opponents, and they’re laying 1.5 points on the NFL lines in LA as a result.
