NFL Week 4 Preview

Despite it only being Week 4 of the regular season, significant parity has already begun to develop in the NFL. Seven teams have 3-0 records straight up, and four of them have duplicated that perfect record against the spread. Those numbers have made a lot of fans that bet on the NFL happy, as certain clubs have shown that they’re reliable when it comes to beating the NFL betting spread. How many teams will be able to continue the win streak this weekend? Check out the top-10 Week 4 matchups below so you too can become a master of the odds on NFL Sunday.

2019 NFL Week 4 Best Odds and Matchups

Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers (Thursday, 5:20 PM ET)

The first game of the week features one of those ‘perfect’ clubs. It may come as a surprise to some that first-year head coach and play caller Matt LaFleur has had this much team success this early. However, perhaps it has more to do with the Packers’ defence, which has allowed just 35 total points through three games. They’ll look to continue the Eagles’ pain on Sunday. Philadelphia have struggled to a 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS record. The Packers are 5-point favourites with a total of 46.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (Sunday, 1 PM ET)

One of these two undefeated (SU) teams will be handed their first loss of the season on Sunday. The Patriots are all of a sudden looking for someone to step up at the wide receiver spot after the team departed from Antonio Brown, and Julian Edelman failed to return for the second half of Week 3’s victory against the Jets after suffering a chest injury. Edelman’s status for Week 4 is unknown at press, but they’re still 7.5-favourites on the NFL lines as the visiting team in Buffalo.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (Sunday, 1 PM ET)

The Baltimore Ravens (2-1 SU, 1-2 ATS) were separated from the undefeated pack last week when they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 33-28. They’re still an excellent team, however, and their league-leading offence (511.7 yards, 36.7 points per game), will give the Browns’ D serious trouble. The NFL betting odds have the Ravens as 7-point home favourites with a total of 46.

Kansas City Chiefs at Detroit Lions (Sunday, 1 PM ET)

Who would have thought the Detroit Lions would be undefeated through three weeks? At 2-0-1 SU and 2-1 ATS, the Lions are showing they’re an interesting option on the NFL odds board. As a result of their early showing, they’re just 7-point underdogs to the always dangerous Kansas City Chiefs.

Carolina Panthers at Houston Texans (Sunday, 1 PM ET)

With QB Cam Newton’s season in jeopardy, the Carolina Panthers are all-in on replacement QB Kyle Allen. All Allen did was throw for four TDs and complete 73.1 % of his passes en route to getting Carolina their first win of the season over the Cardinals in Week 3. The Panthers may be all right without Cam, but they’re still 4.5-point road underdogs against Houston in Week 4.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams (Sunday 4:05 PM ET)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter LA having missed a golden opportunity to go 2-1 SU in Week 3, and are now faced with the 3-0 SU and ATS Rams. Despite struggling to put points on the board, the Rams’ defence has held opponents to an average of just 16.3 points per game. With that, the total has been set at 50 points, with the Rams listed as 10-point favourites.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET)

A classic NFC North matchup from Soldier Field takes place this Sunday afternoon. Both the Bears and Vikings win with defence, so we’re not surprised to see a week-low 38.5-point total. Look for this to be a hard-fought affair, as both clubs attempt to move to 3-1 and keep pace in the division.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET)

The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2 SU, 2-1 ATS) will run with their exciting rookie QB Gardner Minshew against the Denver Broncos (0-3 SU, 1-2 ATS) in Week 4. Minshew has thrown for five TDs and just one interception since taking over for Nick Foles. The Jags are slim 3-point underdogs against the hometown Broncos.

Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints (Sunday, 8:20 PM ET)

Dallas is looking as dominant as ever, and QB Dak Prescott will attempt to lead the Dallas Cowboys (3-0 SU and ATS) to a 4-0 start on Sunday Night Football. Saints’ QB Teddy Bridgewater looked solid in his first start after Drew Brees’ injury, but it’ll be a different story against Dallas’ fourth-ranked D. The ‘Boys are 3-point road favourites with a total of 47 points.

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (Monday, 8:15 PM ET)

Monday Night Football from Steel City is a tale of two winless teams squaring off after four-point losses the week prior. Both the Bengals (0-3 SU, 2-1 ATS) and Steelers (0-3 SU, 1-2 ATS) will be hungry for the win in this one. Pittsburgh is laying four points on the spread at home.
