Top NFL Betting Props for Week 9

All eyes will be on the Denver Broncos-Oakland Raiders showdown this Sunday at 8:30 PM ET. While it’s not surprising that the Broncos are tied for first place in the AFC West, it is surprising to see the Raiders right there with them. For the Raiders to beat the defending Super Bowl champs this week, they’ll have to be far more disciplined than they’ve been all season long. That’s where we begin our round-up of this week’s best NFL props.

Total Penalties by the Oakland Raiders in Week 9

Over 9.5: -120
Under 9.5: -120

The Oakland Raiders were penalized a record-setting 23 times last week, making their 30-24 overtime win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that much more impressive. The Raiders lead the league with 86 penalties against them, averaging out to 10.8 per game. They can’t be as sloppy when they host the Denver Broncos, who are 1-point underdogs for the game as we go to press.

Will the Oakland Raiders Finish the Regular Season with an 8-0 Record on the Road?

Yes: +1000
No: -5000

One of the reasons the Raiders enter the week tied for first place in the AFC West is because of their stellar play on the road. They’re now a perfect 5-0 on the road and have to win their final three away games to cash the “yes” on this prop. You’re essentially betting on a three-game parlay on the Raiders winning in Kansas City (Week 14), San Diego (Week 15) and Denver (Week 17).

Only eight teams have finished with a perfect 8-0 road record in the history of the NFL, and six of them have gone to the Super Bowl.

Total Seattle Seahawks Rushing Yards in Week 9

Over 100: -200
Under 100: +150

The Seahawks finished fourth in rushing last season, but have tapered off significantly in 2016. Their entire offense is struggling. Quarterback Russell Wilson hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass in three weeks, and the rushing offense ranks 23rd in the league. The good news is they’ll have a chance to turn things around against one of the weakest run defenses this week. The Bills are giving up 118.4 rushing yards per game, which is 25th in the NFL.

Will the Cleveland Browns go 0-16?

Yes: +500
No: -900

The Cleveland Browns looked like they’d earn their first win of the season last week when they held a 20-7 halftime lead over the New York Jets. Instead, they were outscored 24-8 in the second half and lost for the eighth time this season. When will they earn their first win of the season – or will it happen at all? Their schedule looks challenging, as it only features one team that’s more than a game below .500: the San Diego Chargers. That Week 16 showdown could be their best bet to get on the board.
