Baseball Live Betting Rules
1. If a game is called because of weather or stadium malfunctions, all pending propositions will be graded "No Action".
2. For the proposition "What will the outcome of this plate appearance be?":
- The proposition will be settled according to the official plate appearance outcome that is declared by the Gameday play-by-play statistics at www.mlb.com.
- If a substitute batter or pitcher replaces the original batter or pitcher during an at-bat, the proposition will be settled as per the outcome of the at-bat.
- If a substitute batter replaces the original batter before the first pitch is thrown, all bets on the original batter will be graded "No Action".
- If a pitching change occurs before the first pitch is thrown to the listed batter, all bets will be graded "No Action".
- Intentional walks will be graded "No Action". An intentional walk occurs when a pitcher concedes first base to a batter on the fourth ball by deliberately throwing the pitch outside the strikezone.
- Sacrifice bunts will be graded "No Action". A sacrifice bunt occurs when a batter gives himself up in an attempt to advance a base runner.
- Catcher's interferences and batter's interferences will be graded "No Action".
- If a batter doesn't have an official plate appearance because an out in which he isn't involved ends the inning or a run is scored that ends the game, the proposition will be graded "No Action".
- The outcome "Single" refers to a batter reaching first base on a batted ball without a fielder's choice occurring or without the aid of an error.
- The outcome "2B" or "3B" refers to a batter reaching second or third base without the aid of an error.
- The outcome "Home Run" refers to a batter reaching home plate without the aid of an error or because the ball cleared the outfield wall in flight and in fair territory.
- The outcome "Walk or HBP" refers to unintentional walks and hit batsmen.
- The outcome "Strikeout" refers to a batter being called out on strikes, swings and misses on a third strike, a batter becoming a runner because the third strike isn't caught by the catcher, or a batter bunting a ball foul after two strikes.
- The outcome "Groundout" refers to a batter being retired by a fielder's throw to first base or by a fielder's choice after he bats the ball on the ground.
- The outcome "Air Out" refers to a batter being retired by a caught fly ball (fair or foul), a lineout, an infield fly or a sacrifice fly.
- The outcome "Hit/Walk/HBP" refers to hits, unintentional walks and hit batsmen.
- The outcome "Out" refers to strikeouts, groundouts, air outs and fielder's choices.
- Fielder's choices and runners reaching base because of a throwing error or an error fielding a ground ball are settled "Groundout" for betting purposes.
- Infield flies and runners reaching base because of an error on a dropped fly ball, popup or line drive are settled "Air Out" for betting purposes.
- Sacrifice flies stand, and will be settled "Air Out" for betting purposes. A sacrifice fly occurs when, before two are out, the batter hits a line drive or fly ball handled by an outfielder or an infielder running in the outfield, which is caught; the runner scores after the catch, or, if the ball is dropped, a runner scores and the official scorekeeper determines what the runner could have scored after the catch had the fly been caught.
3. For the proposition "How many runs will the batting team have in total after this half-inning?”: If the inning ends without three outs being recorded with the home team at bat, the proposition will be settled accordingly.
4. For the proposition "How many hits will the batting team have in total after this half-inning?”: If the inning ends without three outs being recorded with the home team at bat, the proposition will be settled accordingly.
5. For the proposition "How many strikeouts will be thrown this half-inning?": A strikeout will be credited when a batter is put out by a third strike caught by the catcher, when a batter becomes a runner because a third strike isn't caught by the catcher, when a batter bunts foul on a third strike or when a batter leaves the game and a substitute batter completes a strikeout.
6. For the proposition "How many pitches will be thrown this half-inning?": Pickoff attempts won't count towards the pitch total for the inning.
7. For the 5 Inning Moneyline and Run Line, wagers are official after 5 complete Innings or 4½ if the home team is winning. For the totals, the full 5 Innings must be completed for the bet to have action unless the total for the first 5 innings has already been met, in which case wagers will be settled accordingly.
8. Total/runline wagers are official after 9 innings of play (8.5 innings if the home team is winning). If a game is called before 9 innings have been played, total and runline wagers will be graded "No Action".
9. Game Totals Settlement - Total Wagers are official after 9 innings of play (8.5 innings if the home team is winning) or in instances where the total has already been met, see rule 4. a)
a) In instances where the total for a particular game has already been met, wagers will be settled accordingly, regardless if the game is deemed official.
Ex. If the total for the Yankees/Red Sox game is 6.5 and the teams combine to score 7 runs in the first inning – wagers on the over will be settled as a win and those on the under will be settled as a loss, regardless of whether the game is completed.
b) If the total is NOT met in a game that is cancelled or otherwise postponed before being considered official (9 innings or 8.5 if the home team is winning), all wagers will be settled ‘No Action’
Ex. If the total for the Yankees/Redsox game is 6.5 and the teams combine to score 4 runs through 5 innings but the game is postponed due to bad weather, all wagers will be settled as ‘No Action’
10. If a baseball game goes 9 or more innings and is NOT completed (e.g., suspended, rain, or darkness), wagers on the total and runline still have action.
11. Wagers on suspended games do not carry over to a later date.
12. All disputes pertaining to proposition outcomes for MLB games will be settled by the data contained in the "Play-By-Play" section of the Scoreboard Gameday link at www.mlb.com. If MLB.com isn't available, the "Full Play by Play" section of the box scores at www.cbssports.com/mlb/scoreboard will be used. If neither is available, the final judgment on grading will be at the sole discretion of Bodog.
13. Total/Runline wagers for 7 innings games - Runline wagers are official after 7 innings of play (6.5 innings if the home team is winning). If a game is called before 7 innings have been played, runline wagers are settled as 'No Action'. Total Wagers are official after 7 innings of play (6.5 innings if the home team is winning) or in instances where the total has already been determined.
14. Non-US Baseball - In the event of a Mercy Rule (one team has an unassailable lead) being called, all bets will have action based on the score at that time, with the exception of Total/Runline wagers, which will be no action unless the result has already been determined.
- In the event of a match ending in a tie, ML bets will be graded 'No Action', unless the option of a tie was offered, and all other markets will be settled accordingly based on the final result.
