Have you entered the Main Event yet? The 2017 Super Millions Poker Open is already underway at Bodog Poker, and we’re expecting a solid field for this year’s Main Event on August 13; you can buy your way in directly for $450, or you can win a qualifying tournament to earn your seat for a fraction of that price. Then you’ll be given the golden ticket – a Tournament Ticket in this case.

Tournament Tickets are also handed out year-round for other events at Bodog Poker. Qualifiers typically pay out in tickets to larger tournaments; you can also play a series of smaller Satellite tourneys to score your seat. If you don’t have the bankroll to enter a major tournament like the Main Event, winning a Tournament Ticket is your best option. Many of the well-heeled pros out there will choose this route, too.

How To Use Your Tournament Ticket

You may already be a winner. Have you checked your Tournament Tickets status recently? Sometimes people win tickets without even realizing it; in your Bodog Poker client, click “Account” to bring up your information, then click “Tournament Tickets” to see where you stand. Those tickets fall under four different status levels: Unused, Redeemed, Used, and Expired. Make sure to use any tickets you have before they expire. They’re not redeemable for cash, and they can’t be replaced.

To use your Tournament Ticket, consult the list of Scheduled Tournaments and look for the ones that have a ticket icon next to them. Then you can register through the tournament lobby and use your ticket to enter, provided it’s the right ticket. Some Tournament Tickets are for specific events like the Main. Others are generic tickets with names like “Any $10+$1” and “Any $20+$2.” These tickets can be used to enter any tournament that fits the bill.

You can also collect Tournament Tickets by using your Bodog Rewards Points. Only one ticket can be used per tournament, but you can accumulate more than one generic ticket at a time; for example, you can win a second or a third ticket for any $100K Guaranteed event. The tickets that are closest to their expiry date will automatically be used first when you enter that tournament. Make sure to keep track of these Tournament Tickets on a regular basis – you don’t want to end up missing the Main Event after you’ve already qualified. Like they say, showing up is half the battle.
