Bodog NFL Odds: Thanksgiving Preview

Thanksgiving and the NFL are synonymous with one another, and football fans have an awful lot to be thankful for with three juicy fixtures to sink their teeth into. With the season approaching the business end, each passing game comes with added importance.

As ever, Bodog is the home of your NFL odds, with an array of betting options from money lines, spreads, total points and even specials.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the big three Thanksgiving games.

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions: 12:30pm ET

While we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving NFL triple header, we are being eased in with the weakest game of the three kicking proceedings off.

On this season’s form, it is difficult to argue that the Bears and the Lions are two of the worst teams in the NFC.

While neither side are battling it out at the top of their division this season, the fact that they are both struggling should make for an intriguing game, with the Lions still searching for the first win of the campaign and the Bears without a victory in their last five.

Both teams have fitness problems at QB, with Justin Fields injured during the Bears’ loss to the Ravens, while Jared Goff is also a doubt for the Lions.

If Detroit is to register their first win of the season, they will need to improve on their recent form against Chicago, with the Bears winning six of their last seven meetings – two of which were on Thanksgiving!

It should come as no surprise to see the Bears as the -165 favourites, with the spread at -3.0 for Matt Nagy’s team. The over/under total points line currently sits at 41.5, with a touchdown in every quarter at +110 one of dozens of Bodog specials.

Of course we’ll have live betting on this and any other NFL games, with the Bodog Sportsbook the place to be this Thanksgiving.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys: 4:30pm ET

Two teams with loftier ambitions this season are the Raiders and the Cowboys. Having said that, both come into this crunch encounter on the back of disappointing losses to put a dent in their Super Bowl ambitions.

The 7-3 Cowboys will want to bounce back immediately to put their season back on track, and are -340 to do just that. With the over/under line currently set at 50.5, it looks like this is going to be a battle of the offenses, and one that the Cowboys should approach with confidence.

The Raiders defence has allowed for an average of 132.1 rushing yards per game, which should fill the likes of Ezekiel Elliott with confidence. With that in mind, the Bodog special of Elliott to score 2+ rushing touchdowns in a Dallas win looks appealing at +350.

Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints: 8:20pm ET

Both the Bills and the Saints will be thankful to be out on the pitch again, with both sides on the receiving end of 40+ point losses last time out.

Remember the time when Josh Allen was a serious contender in the MVP betting? That is now a distant memory given his collapse in form of late. You never quite know what you’re going to get with this Bills side, who are capable of thumping the New York Jets 45-17 one week and then being humbled by 41-15 last time out against the Colts. They even managed as little as six points in a drab 9-6 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier in November.

Injuries will once again play a key part in this game, with Alvin Kamara a doubt for the Saints having missed the last two game weeks.

The Bills have now relinquished top spot in both the AFC and AFC East, and will be relying on Allen to find form when it matters and fire them back into contention. Bodog make a Bills win with 2+ Allen passing touchdowns -150, so expect the 25-year-old to play a big part in this one.

Buffalo are currently at -260 for the win with the spread sitting at -6.0. Think you have spotted some value ahead of this one? Come and have your say with Bodog’s NFL betting.
