Looking ahead to Week 4 of college football, we can only hope it will have as much excitement as Week 3 yielded. Between dramatic endings to UCLA-Memphis, Tennessee-Florida, Texas-USC, and Stanford-San Diego State, it is impossible to pick a top thriller. Here’s to hoping Week 4 can come close to delivering a similar rush.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish @ Michigan State Spartans

Favourite: Notre Dame -3.5

As the conference-less Fighting Irish travel to East Lansing hoping to reclaim the coveted Megaphone Trophy, they will rely heavily on their elite running game, which is ranked fifth in the nation in yards per game. The Spartans, however, have been tough against the run, allowing only 183 total rushing yards in their first two contests. This may prove to be a big game for the Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly, who may be getting close to overstaying his welcome at Notre Dame thanks to his snippy communication with the media. After his team lost to Georgia at home by one point in Week 2, he interrupted a reporter, urging her to finish her soliloquy about the team’s poor performance and ask her question. There should be plenty of drama in this rivalry game, especially as it concerns Notre Dame’s head honcho.

(17) Mississippi State Bulldogs @ (11) Georgia Bulldogs

Favourite: Georgia -4.5

What Mississippi State did to LSU last week is probably outlawed in most states. Coming into the game as a touchdown underdog at home, the Bulldogs had their way with the 12th ranked Tigers, running for almost 300 yards in a 37-7 annihilation.

This week will be a challenging road test for State, as they travel to Athens as 4.5-point underdogs in yet another matchup of two undefeated teams. Georgia hopes their backup quarterback Jake Fromm can keep the momentum going after their starter, Jacob Eason, suffered a knee injury in Week 1 against Appalachian State. Don’t miss out on this quality battle of the Bulldogs.

(16) TCU Horned Frogs @ (6) Oklahoma State Cowboys

Favourite: Oklahoma State -14

In a matchup of two nationally ranked 3-0 squads, the Cowboys host the Horned Frogs Saturday afternoon at Boone Pickens Stadium. All eyes will be on Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph, who has inserted himself into the Heisman conversation with three incredible performances to kick off the 2017 season. The senior standout is averaging almost 380 passing yards per game despite being benched for most of the second half against Pittsburgh last week for mercy reasons. TCU has played solid football in their first three wins of 2017, but they’ll have their hands full this week going up against one of the top offenses in college football.
