The action on the gridiron is set to hit NFL stadiums in just one week, so it’s time to get ready for the upcoming football season. The Eagles, Jaguars, and Vikings took the league by surprise a season ago when they got into the final four of the playoffs. Which team will continue the unpredictable nature of the sport this coming season? Here are the teams that top the Super Bowl betting favourites list for the upcoming 2018-19 NFL season.

New England Patriots +650 NFL Odds

The league’s cream of the crop year-in and year-out, the Patriots are looking to add to their already stellar hardware collection this season after narrowly missing out on the Lombardi trophy in Super Bowl LII at the hands of the Eagles. Tom Brady has showed no signs of slowing down, but fans and experts are wondering when the 41-year-old will start to decline. It certainly wasn’t last year, when the future hall of famer aired it out for 4,577 yards and 32 touchdowns. Look for another great year from New England this season.

Los Angeles Rams +850 NFL Odds

Being frugal hasn’t been in the Rams’ vocabulary this past offseason. Los Angeles has opened its chequebooks with some big signings, and it looks like those books will remain open, as they’re expected to ink the reigning NFL defensive player of the year in Aaron Donald in an effort to keep their stars happy. Add to the mix superstar running back Todd Gurley and Pro Bowl quarterback Jared Goff, and you’ve got yourself a contender at +850 Super Bowl betting odds

Philadelphia Eagles +950 NFL Odds

Everyone who follows the league closely is acutely aware of Super Bowl hangovers, but the talent on this roster is undeniable. Starting quarterback Carson Wentz is expected to be cleared by doctors soon, which promises to be a huge boost to this team’s quality on the field, but it hasn’t happened yet. And that’s a minor worry for Philly. If head coach Doug Pederson can keep himself and the squad focused on football, they’ll be in the mix once again come December and January. The defending champions’ 2019 Super Bowl odds are +950 as we go to press.

Minnesota Vikings +950 NFL Odds

Believing they upgraded at quarterback by signing Kirk Cousins to one of the largest fully guaranteed NFL contracts of all time (3 years, $84 million), the Vikings are hoping to get over the hump after being humiliated by the Eagles in the NFC championship in a 38-7 beat down. Cousins, who has thrown for over 9,000 yards in the last two seasons combined with Washington, is replacing a serviceable Case Keenum, who now calls Denver home. If you believe Cousins can gel with his new teammates up north, Minnesota may be worth a wager; they have +950 odds to win the Super Bowl as we go to press.
