Poker Etiquette
To play your best game at Bodog, make sure you’re sticking to the etiquette.
Choosing a Seat
We recommend that players new to online poker start out in lower limit games to get used to the software and the game action. Select your game type, limit, stakes and buy-in amount and then take your seat.
The Buy-in
In most cases, the minimum amount that a player can buy-in at a cash game is 30X the big blind and the maximum is 100X the big blind. For example, at a $1/$2 No Limit table the minimum buy-in is $60 and the maximum buy-in is $200.
Timely and Courteous Play
Players are certainly allowed a moment to consider their actions, but are requested to do so in a timely fashion. Players are asked to check the 'Sit Out Next Hand' box if they need time away from their computer or mobile device. This speeds up game play and prevents excessive wait times. Players who are playing on multiple tables are asked to use the pre-select boxes whenever possible. Players that intentionally slow down play will be warned and, if such behaviour continues, may have their accounts suspended.
