Prevention of Underage Gambling

Bodog requires all users to be 18 years of age or older. All users must confirm their age and certify that they are of legal age to gamble prior to opening an account. Bodog actively monitors for underage accounts and uses a variety of tools to verify information. Bodog never engages in advertising directed at minors.

Any accounts found to have been opened by an underage individual will be immediately disabled and any winnings forfeit. Misrepresenting your age to avoid age restrictions is considered fraud and is a serious offense.

In order to prevent underage individuals from accessing your account we recommend keeping your account number and password secret, not leaving your computer unattended when logged in to your account, and never sharing your Credit Card number or banking information with minors.

Parental Controls

If there are children under 18 who have access to your computer, you may want to consider installing parental control software to prevent access to online gaming sites and other material, such as:

Responsible Gambling

In order to keep gambling enjoyable and under control, we recommend that you follow these tips:

  • Be aware and keep track of how much money you are spending.
  • Avoid chasing losses and stick to your predetermined budget.
  • Only gamble money you can afford to lose.
  • Treat gambling as a form of entertainment and not a source of income.
  • Plan how much time you want to spend for each gambling session and monitor the time.
  • Do not gamble if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Do not gamble if you are depressed or to avoid other problems in your life.

Problem Gambling

Bodog believes gaming is a form of entertainment that shouldn't negatively impact a player's life. If you feel that gambling may becoming a problem for you, ask yourself the following questions developed by Gamblers Anonymous:

  • Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling?
  • Has gambling ever made your home life unhappy?
  • Did gambling affect your reputation?
  • Have you ever felt remorse after gambling?
  • Did you ever gamble to get money with which to pay debts or otherwise solve financial difficulties?
  • Did gambling cause a decrease in your ambition or efficiency?
  • After losing did you feel you must return as soon as possible and win back your losses?
  • After a win did you have a strong urge to return and win more?
  • Did you often gamble until your last dollar was gone?
  • Did you ever borrow to finance your gambling?
  • Have you ever sold anything to finance gambling?
  • Were you reluctant to use "gambling money" for normal expenditures?
  • Did gambling make you careless of the welfare of yourself or your family?
  • Did you ever gamble longer than you had planned?
  • Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble, boredom or loneliness?
  • Have you ever committed, or considered committing, an illegal act to finance gambling?
  • Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping?
  • Do arguments, disappointments or frustrations create within you an urge to gamble?
  • Did you ever have an urge to celebrate any good fortune by a few hours of gambling?
