These are tried and tested classics that every casino player is familiar with. But just because you’re familiar with them doesn’t mean you know the rules inside and out. Our goal is to give you an idea of how to play each game, along with some basic strategy tips to help boost your odds of winning. Although these games are built for entertainment purposes, people have the most fun when they’re winning games, so we want to set you up for success. Before we get to our gaming tips, we’ll go over our different game categories.

Table Games Overview

As mentioned above, we have 25+ online casino table games for you to choose from. Our table games branch out into five subsections that include Blackjack, Roulette, card games, poker games and dice games, and each subsection contains several variants. For example, within the Poker Games section, you’ll find Tri Card Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Caribbean Hold’Em, and Caribbean Stud. Each of these games has roots in poker, but offers unique game structures. To get a good idea of everything we offer, explore and compare the games in each Table Games subsection.

Best Table Games to Play for Real Money

Blackjack is the king of table games; when played optimally, it has the smallest overall house edge, and the most complex strategy. It’s perfect for people who like to challenge themselves. After Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, and Roulette are the best online casino table games you can play based on low house edge and entertainment value. We’ll briefly explain how to play each of these games, starting with Blackjack.

How to Play Blackjack

Blackjack pits you against the Dealer in a battle for the stronger hand. You’re each initially dealt two-card hands, and then given the option to build on that hand by adding more cards (Hit), doubling your wager (Double Down), splitting your hand into two separate hands (Split), or keeping things as they are by standing. Some versions also allow you to forfeit your hand (Surrender). To win, you need to have a higher score than the Dealer without exceeding 21 points. Aces are worth 1 or 11 points, face cards are worth 10, and everything else has face value.

When playing Blackjack, incorporating strategy is as simple as following the moves suggested in a chart that’s designed for the version you’re playing. These are the same charts you’d find in land-based casino gift shops. Just be sure you get the chart that’s appropriate for the type of Blackjack you’re playing.

Different Types of Blackjack Games

There are many different ways you can play Blackjack online. You can stick with the traditional games by playing Single Deck, Double Deck or Six Deck Blackjack; each comes in two flavours—a Classic and Modern layout. The Modern version is ideal when playing on your phone or tablet, whereas the Classic works best on large screens.

Alternatively, you can play Blackjack with a twist. We have Perfect Pairs for people looking for high-paying side bets, and Zappit Blackjack for those who dread getting scores of 15, 16 and 17. Both games are played with six decks.

For a completely different Blackjack experience, consider trying our Live Dealer Blackjack games. These are set up in a casino studio, where real people deal the cards, and everything is streamed online in real time. With this version, you’re playing with other people at the table and can communicate with them and the Dealer by typing in the chat box.

Basic Games Strategy and Rules Per Game

How to Play Craps

Play Craps online for money by placing bets and rolling the dice to settle the bets just as you would in a land-based casino. Only with the online version, you’re always the shooter. For those who are new to Craps, the primary bet is the Pass Line, which pays even-money when you land a 7 or 11 on the initial come-out roll. If you land a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the number becomes the Point, and you have to either re-roll it, or roll a 7 in order to resolve the bet. For a full list of Craps bets, consult the guide in the game menu. Pro tip: The Don’t Pass Line and odds combination is the best bet you can make.

How to Play Baccarat

When you play Baccarat online for money, you can sit back and let the Dealer do the work. All that’s required of you is to choose who to back in the battle between the Banker and Player. You can bet on the Banker who wins more frequently, but pays less, or the Player, who wins less frequently but pays more. Alternatively, you can bet on a tie between them. They’re dealt two cards each, and sometimes a third—depending on the score of the first two cards. Whoever has a score closer to 9 wins.

How to Play Roulette

When you play online Roulette at Bodog Casino, you can choose between two versions: American Roulette and European Roulette. There are two parts to Roulette: a wheel and a betting layout. Both have numbers 0 to 36, with the American version also having a 00, which contributes to a bigger house edge. Start the round by choosing which numbers to bet on; you can bet on single numbers for bigger payouts, or groups of numbers for better odds. Spin the wheel, and whichever number the ball ends up on wins.

Other Popular Table Games

There’s no denying the fact that Roulette, Baccarat, Blackjack and Craps are our most popular table games; after all, these casino staples have been around for centuries. But some of our poker-based table games are gaining steam with our Texas Hold’Em players.

Pai Gow Poker

A hybrid between poker and the Chinese domino game Pai Gow, Pai Gow Poker deals you and the Dealer a seven-card hand and asks you to create two hands out of it: one five-card hand and one two-card hand. The five-card hand must be stronger than the two-card hand, and in order to win, both of your hands must beat the Dealer’s hands, which are divided using “the house way.”

Tri Card Poker

You and your opponent get just three cards each, and based on those cards, you have to choose if you want to face off, or fold and try again next round. If you want to battle the Dealer, you’ll need to raise the stakes by wagering more.

Caribbean Hold’Em

This table game version of Texas Hold’Em deals you and the Dealer two cards and places three community cards down as the flop. Raise to see the turn and river, or fold and try again next round. A progressive jackpot is available to anyone who bets a dollar on it and receives a royal flush. Partial payouts are distributed from the jackpot if you land anything from a flush to a straight flush.

Caribbean Stud Poker

You and the Dealer are each dealt five cards. With no community cards, it’s up to your five-card hand to beat the Dealer and win the payout. Raise if you want to go head-to-head, or fold if you don’t think you’ve got him beat.

Roll the Dice

Also called Fish-Prawn-Crab, Roll the Dice is a fun luck-based game that consists of betting on one or more icons found on the game’s three dice. The options include a fish, prawn, crab, rooster, gourd, coin, or the Any Triple icon, which means you’re betting that all three dice will have matching icons. The Any Triple bet pays the most at 30:1.

Table games are your ticket to a rewarding casino experience as they mix skill with luck. For something heavy on the skill side of things, go for Blackjack, which can take months to master. For something light and easy, try Roll the Dice, or even Roulette; both feel good when played instinctively. Whatever game you choose to go with, play it at Bodog Casino for the ultimate online table games experience.
