Seattle Seahawks (6/1): The odds-on favourite to return to the Super Bowl and win their second title in three years, the Seahawks actually got better in the offseason. Their most glaring need was a high-end passing option for Russell Wilson and they went out and brought in Jimmy Graham. While anything can happen, it’s hard to imagine the Seahawks not being in contention to the very end.

Arizona Cardinals (25/1): The Cardinals are a hard team to gauge. Last season they overachieved most of the year then underachieved in the playoffs. With an elite defense and a questionable offense, they’re somewhere between the dominant team from the season’s first half and the team that got crushed in the playoffs and their odds reflect this.

St. Louis Rams (33/1): The Rams got a steal by trading for Nick Foles but they’re still stuck relying on an unproven O-line and a lot of question marks in the offensive skill positions. Nonetheless, their defense will be as stout as ever and this could the year that they finally catch a break in their division with potential down-years for the Cardinals and 49ers.

San Francisco 49ers (40/1): How the mighty have fallen. The 49ers defense, once considered among the best, has been gutted with the unexpected retirements of Patrick Willis and Chris Borland. The offense did improve with the additions of Torrey Smith and Reggie Bush but the defensive losses and the departure of head coach Jim Harbaugh may be too much to overcome.
